Who We Are

Our Mission

SecuredK12 exists to help public K–12 school districts across Georgia close the cybersecurity gap — providing practical guidance, objective product insight, and statewide support focused solely on the needs of schools.

The Problem We Solve

K–12 Schools Are Under Attack — and Under-Resourced

School districts are among the most targeted institutions for cyberattacks. They hold sensitive student and staff data, operate critical infrastructure, and are increasingly dependent on digital systems — yet most lack the dedicated cybersecurity staff and budget to defend themselves effectively.

SecuredK12 was founded to change that. We are a nonprofit, so our only agenda is helping schools. No vendor relationships. No upsells. Just honest, expert guidance for the people protecting our students.

Challenges Districts Face

  • Ransomware attacks targeting student records and district operations
  • Limited IT staffing with cybersecurity expertise
  • Uneven access to security tools and vendor guidance
  • Increasing reliance on digital learning platforms
  • Compliance requirements with limited resources to meet them
  • Phishing and social engineering targeting staff and students
What Drives Us

Our Core Values

Protection First

Every decision we make is guided by one question: does this make schools safer? We prioritize practical, actionable security over theoretical ideals.

Focused Expertise

We work exclusively in the K–12 space. That singular focus means our guidance is never generic — it is built around the real constraints schools face every day.

Objective Guidance

As a nonprofit, we have no financial stake in the products or vendors we evaluate. Districts can trust that our recommendations are unbiased and in their best interest.

Equitable Access

Cybersecurity should not be a privilege of well-funded districts. We are committed to serving every public K–12 school in Georgia, regardless of size, location, or budget.

How We Work

Our Approach

01

Assess

We work with districts to understand their current security posture, identify gaps, and prioritize risks based on their unique environment.

02

Advise

We provide objective, practical recommendations — from policy frameworks to product evaluations — tailored to each district's needs and budget.

03

Support

We stay engaged. Cybersecurity is not a one-time project. We provide ongoing guidance as threats evolve and districts grow.
